JOB SUMMARY:
Cisneros Tree Service is seeking a skilled Groundsman to join our team. The groundsman will support tree care operations by assisting with ground-level tasks, maintaining a safe work site, and supporting tree climbers and equipment operators. This role is essential for ensuring efficient and safe tree removal, trimming, and keeping equipment in optimal condition.
Groundsman Responsibilities:
⦁ Safety Compliance: Ensure worksite safety by following company and industry standards, setting up signs, cones, and barriers, and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
⦁ Communication: Communicate effectively with crew members to coordinate tasks and ensure an organized workflow.
⦁ Support Tree Crew: Provide tools, manage ropes, and clear debris to assist tree climbers and equipment operators.
⦁ Debris and Brush Removal: Involves using chainsaws, chippers, and other equipment to cut and remove branches, logs, and other tree debris.
⦁ Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate, maintain, and clean equipment such as chainsaws, woodchippers, and stump grinders. Perform essential maintenance, refuel machinery, and report any issues.
⦁ Worksite Clean-Up: Upon completion of the work, clean the job site thoroughly, ensuring all equipment, tools, and debris are accounted for and properly managed.
⦁ Work Schedule: Some weekend or overtime work may be required, especially during emergency tree removal situations.

QUALIFICATIONS
⦁ Experience with tree care practices
⦁ Practical knowledge of chainsaw and equipment operation
⦁ Possess the ability to lift, move, and maneuver up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis and up to 30 pounds frequently.
⦁ The ability to work long hours and overtime during emergencies (including holidays, weekends, storm work)
⦁ Ability to work in all weather conditions
⦁ Driver's License (Required)
⦁ Practical knowledge of chainsaw and equipment operation
